Believe it or not...there really is a National Preparedness Month sponsored by FEMA. The Theme is "Plan now, be ready, work together". FEMA has a wealth of information for things like a 72 hour kit, information for Older Americans, People with Disabilities, and caring for your pet in an emergency. There is also information for Military families and fun things like comics for your children.
Their site has instructional videos and information in PDF formats that are easily downloaded.
